Executive Masters in Islamic Financial Management

The Executive Masters in Islamic Financial Management (XIFM) program is delivered at the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (ESA) in conjunction with the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University.

Its mission is to equip managers of Islamic and conventional financial institutions with the needed financial management techniques, in order to enhance the competiveness of their firms in today’s highly competitive financial markets. The Xifm is the first academic program applying financial management techniques to Islamic finance.

The Xifm creates synergies between Islamic and conventional finance. Its balanced curriculum of conventional and Islamic finance courses combines the moral and ethical framework of Islamic finance with the technical excellence of conventional finance.

Students will alternate between core courses tackling the fundamentals of financial techniques and theory, and courses in Islamic Finance.

The program is taught part-time to allow participants to insure their professional activity. The teaching staff consists of visiting lecturers from both the academic and financial world, part of ESA and RSM’s networks.
